Just get the hang of arranging your poo poo right in the "start" screen and you should be good to go - I missed the start menu the first 30 mins on windows 8 but haven't looked back since!

I watch a bunch of WSHH and MMA fights and I practice Bas Rutten's liver kick every single day so I know how to fight!!!

I am told Start8 is good but it seems like if you need that why have 8 at all?

My laptop is really old and poo pooty so if I were to upgrade to Windows 8 it would just be for the speed boost.

I've had amazing boot times with win 8, about 7 seconds average.

I would install but it won't let me install on a GPT-partitioned disk on a PC without UEFI

I don't want to use UGLY HACKS like a hybrid MBR

Also I was playing with both MS Surface and Samsung Chromebook at Best Buy and some of the Chrome 'apps' actually run faster than the Windows 8 METRO versions!!!

I don't think Windows 8 is as bad as a lot of people are making it out to be.  Sure, right now it is a bit crap, but after 100 patches and half a dozen service packs it should be fairly good

Or just wait for Windows 9, like skipping Vista and waiting for Windows 7.  Badda bing, badda boom.

the only thing I really use my netbook for anymore is the web it's not unthinkable

I'd never actually buy one but now I have one less reason to never buy one.
