I'm trying to upgrade a Asus x83v to Windows 8 but it refuses to work. Everything installs fine until it becomes time for the first boot when it blue screens and it says it didn't install correctly then it rolls back to Windows 7. Everyone I know in real life either calls me a dumbass or complains about the fact that I payed for it myself and didn't pirate it. What do?

Damn it, now my other computer isn't working for no reason. Windows 7 is booting into startup repair

Got it working, I had to choose to not transfer my data over. Which is okay because I didn't have anything installed anyway
