I guess Ubisoft looked at Assassin's Creed and thought "hell, people have been buying the same fetching game over and over again... let's try it with far cry as well!"

I too enjoyed Far Cry 3 but com'on. The levels of rehashing here are off the charts. Also, since when you need money to play games?

The gameplay of far cry 3 was spot on perfect, and the setting was great too.  It was like the first part of Crysis, before it got into all the stupid alien bullpoo poo.  The only weak part was the story which you could pretty much ignore once you got to the second island.

So I'm totally okay with them making an entirely new setting, tweaking a few things, and otherwise keeping the rock solid gameplay intact.  I'd rather they do a glorified re-release than gut all the good stuff a la Red Faction Armageddon.  Just wait until it goes on Steam sale and buy it for a guaranteed good time.

Hopefully Far Cry 4 has more burning fields of weed to skrillex music missions
