ok so the general synopsis is a bunch of friends working at microsoft quit to start their own company
now, you have to remember this is set in 1993-1995

but really there's way more than that, the characters grow so much because at microsoft they lose complete connection with their bodies because of all the shipping hell and coding all the way up to early hours in the morning then going out to a costco to get snacks with other hair-trigger geeks

and it's really just great to see the characters grow and find out things about themselves and others and in a way it made me very introspective myself so i guess that's why i think everybody should give this book a try too

some of my best memories are from going out to get snakes at walmart in the early hours of the morning
