I went to the penumbra site, and just out of curiosity put in a birth date for 2009, and now it's trying to block me! The trailer is hardly violent at all, Google doesn't want to remember the search, is there some kind of controversy surrounding this game or something?

I doubt Penumbra is what you're looking for but it's an amazing game on it's own, so get it anyway. Also, Turning Point sucks ass, lol @ andmill recommending it

I don't know, you run away and have pretty much no combat abilities and I can't think of any other good game like that.

Well in Call of Cthulhu: Dark Cornes of the Eart you run away from all the fights for half of the game so I guess that's right up your alley.

Yes, this game is awesome, kinda like Penumbra. It's not open-ended as Thunder seemed to imply but a great game nonetheless

Think "Fallout 3 meets LOTR meets War of the Worlds" except you're hiding in the rubble, hoping some little bitch doesn't come up and shoot you in the face. Plus, you should have a sniper rifle in case you want to dispose of your enemies from a distance.
