What to look forward to on my trip to Trader Joe's

Trader Joe's falsely advertises their commitment to the environment. The company is notorious for their excessive packaging, even sealing produce in plastic. Their business model encourages wasteful consumption and they have been known to toss out unspoiled food. Trader Joe's definitely has something to hide. Their sources for organic milk remains a closely guarded secret and they have also sold lead-tainted candies without the proper consumer warnings.

Everything I eat is homegrown because sustainability is my priority and I do not want to contribute to the bleak future ahead for planet earth and all of humanity. This is why I am in the business of information products, webinars, and eBooks. All of our products are paperless. Go Green.

But where do you get your seed or transplants or breeding stock?

So what kind of landrace, certified Biodynamic seed do you get + how often do the maharishi vedic pundits come out to sing to the plants
+ which big six are you talking about, Doctor? The six that are also chemical companies that sell you their chemicals along with the seed that's genetically engineered to tolerate it?

Maharishi was a heretic and a charlatan who used the Christ-hating Beatles as a platform for promoting his empty philosophy and worthless yogic exercises. I refuse to engage any further on this subject unless we continue in Sanskrit as English cannot convey the meaning of true Indian thought

The pro GMO corporate shills love to boast about how their products have saved countless numbers of lives. But as far as I'm concerned, their products have only increased the number of mouths to feed in an increasingly resource scarce world. Because of the heavy reliance on phosphorus-based fertilizer, the world's supply of phosphorus ore is being depleted at an alarming rate. By 2035, scientists forecast that the demand will exceed the supply.

Meanwhile, we are all dying a slow, nutrient deficient death because of the use of industrial agricultural fertilizers. Due to pollination, almost all of the organic food we eat now carries at least some of the genetics from the GMO specimens. This is really an outrage. The US has one strain of corn whereas Mexico has over 50. Some argue that the federal government only allows marijuana dispensaries to operate in states like Washington and Colorado because companies can now research and test GMO marijuana which can be used for mind control purposes. Cross pollination of this corporate marijuana will eventually spread their genes to the black market source. We are living in a very dangerous time when even our source of sustenance and energy and the accompanying vibrational impact of our consumption is being monitored and controlled by the fatcats and greedheads.

It's not just the phosphorus-based fertilizers. It's the seeds bred to fit them that could be nutrient deficient + the stew of synthetic chemical pesticides that kill the soil. What do you suggest we do, RowdyTuesday?

We need to shutdown research on GMO and destroy GMO crops and seeds.  North American society was functional for centuries before the advent of GMO. We need to embrace biodiversity, even if it leads to rising food costs.

And how do we do that?

That was vague, but I think you mean ban the stuff in "GMO-free zones" because labeling will only tell you that most U.S. food, even some certified organic, has biotech traits. Not to mention the sucky and expensive testing regime you'd have to do on, not only the crops with genetically engineered equivalents, but those with a risk of contamination. So how does a country that plants has at least 90 percent genetically engineered corn and soy put a moratoruim on the practice?
