Isaac Newton was said to have a conflict of interest, in that his theory of gravity (being always attractive) interfered with his idea of an absolute God -the whole infinite static universe idea that even Einstein almost fell prey to if it weren't for Edwin Hubble documenting that the universe is expanding.

I wonder sometimes if he said it on purpose as to shield him and his science from seeming overtly inconsistent from any biblical text or whatever.

Ah, science! I hardy knew ye!
But anyway, creation does not have to be *literally* six 24-hour days as fundumentalists believe. Consider this, in Genesis, God said let there be light, and there was light (note how in the Big Bang all matter was concentrated into an infinitesamal volume and exploded at a moment's notice, "letting there be light.") God supposedly created animals before man, yet on the same "day" (the 6th.) This could support the dinos living before man. And the "behemouth of Job" doesn't have to be a dinosaur (people cite this to "support" their view of the "6000 year old earth," I mean, there are many animals that could be labeled "behemouths," right?) Ultimately, there should be at least SOME parallelism between the biblical account of creation and science, you just have to not take everything verbatim.
This should clearly show the folly of that "assessment" even by biblical standards. I'd get a zero on it for sure.

Feel free to point out any corrupt information on this post. Much appreciated.
