Because history extending that far back doesn't mean anything.  Since the PL was formed in '92, 5 teams have won the title, Man U doing so 12 times.  This is comparable to the Bundesliga during the same time period (7 champions), Serie A (5 champions), and La Liga (5 champions).  I love the EPL but almost always, the relegation battle is much more interesting.

Well, if you look at a predefined slice of history, sure. But if you look at the complete history, my assertion is correct.  I suppose recent history is a bit kinder, but that does not change the fact that it is undisputedly the most 1 sided league this season.

Yeah, a slice predefined as "recent". Long term history means nothing when I am just arguing there is a huge gulf now

Yeah he's obviously insane but personal politics are politics, if nothing else he should get some energy into the team for the last few games

Rafa is my hero, meanwhile Sunderland fans bitch and moan about their proud socialist history and how Di Canio is fetching it up

Goddamn!

Both of my League 1 teams won today, so Yeovil is still in 6th place and in line for a promotion playoff spot while Shrews are now 7 points clear of relegation!! And Dice are you a Swindon fan?

Lastly Arsene how do you pronounce Arshavin? Is it Arshavein or Arshavin?  "I, Uhhh don't know."  Arshavin has not been good/relevant for atleast 4 years and even back then barely was, so a move to the Galaxy seems about right

Cyrus what is going to happen today man I am so pumped. PSG shock home victory and Juventus loss?

#177 02-04-2013, 12:26:29 PM
And which game will I watch man I cant decide

If Arshavin was going to another EPL team you would be singing his praises

PSG to draw, Bayern by 1

Cirus no I wouldn't, he's in the EPL and I think he is horrible. He was great at Euro 2008 and ok for his first two seasons at Arsenal, particularly when he scored 4 goals against Liverpool. The dude is a striker and has like 6 goals on the board in the past 3 seasons and rarely makes it into a team anymore. He's also 31 .

Nothing to do with anti America or pro England he's just an aging star who has been off the radar for a number of years, so, as is common for aging stars, being a DP in the MLS or going to Turkey or Dubai is usually what they do. That's all!

The real news today is that Piccaretta will join Di Canio at Sunderland, and that dude is a boss. Possibly more important than appointing Di Canio himself, certainly a good omen for Sunderland!
