yes for date entry the numpad is exceptionally good

when i want to put numbers in a normal sentence i'm typing like say there are 365 days in a year i use the number row

also i just think that if laptops that aren't as wide as that one have numpads, that one should have one too

i mean, linear switches are pretty much almost the same as rubber domes, aren't they? i mean, if that's your thing then sure, that sounds good

but if i were to spend money on a mechanical keyboard i'd get one with at least some tactile feedback

Huh?  They're still vastly superior to rubber domes.  They return faster than domes do and they don't wear out, while lasting for a much longer amount of time.

I guess I understand why people would like that, I'm just saying that I would personally enjoy having tactile feedback if I were going to go out of my way to get a mechanical keyboard in the first place.

With that being said, literally every single keyboard in this god damn country is rubber dome no matter how much you pay, what the poo poo

I just have some cheap keyboard and it works just spectacularly for typing things

Fair enough, as a dedicated mechanical keyboard user I just don't want anyone out there to be misinformed!

i have a 2 dollar keyboard that is loud enough to sound like a mechanical, i'm pretty sure it fools the people that can hear me through the walls
