I just went to the Palace Museum of Taiwan today and I just met this blonde Western girl in the Jade section of the museum and i was walking over to read the description of the art of this Jade piece with an animal's/geometric shape on it about how it is to beacon for the Almighty God in ancient Chinese religions (aka Shang-Di or Tien) and then I said to her in mandarin "can you excuse me please? i want to see that!" and then facing her on the side I said in mandarin "do you speak chinese?" and she said "Yes" in chinese and then I told her in english that I was astonished that she knows chinese and i asked her where she was from and she told me "australia" then I told her that i'm an american but my parents were from this country and i asked her in english "how did you know chinese?" she told me that her family lives in Taiwan and I was like "interesting!"Plus in the museum, there were several Japanese tourists as well. It's always a pleasure to see American, European, other Western, Hong Kong/mainland Chinese, and Japanese tourists here!
