Wigan loses!!! 35 points with 2 games left, 3 points below anyone else so surely anyone reaching 39 is safe considering one of Wigan's games is away at Arsenal. Hooray Sunderland is safe!!!
Also SAF is retiring apparently?

Fergie has been retiring for the last 5 or 6 years, but he is getting on in years, and a cushy consultancy or made-up directorial position where he does hardly anything, but is well paid must sound very tempting to him now.
It'll happen eventually of course, perhaps even this week as has been speculated. But, the REAL question is who would replace him, and will Man U play well as usual, or start to fall down the table?

Man U already won the title this season so that doesn't matter. Mourinho is the obvious choice to replace him, but David Moyes would look to be another solid candidate.
Since Man U stock is traded on the NYSE this is a rather big deal, because they have to be incredibly strict about information getting out now. This isn't the usual tabloid throwing around baseless rumors.

Rooney put in a request to be transferred two weeks ago, was apparently rejected. Maybe now he'll be on the block?

Yeah, perhaps bad blood between Rooney and his former manager?, he used to play for Everton before moving to United. I'm guessing Fergie told his team that he's stepping down a couple of weeks in advance, hence Rooney's transfer request. Perhaps it's already been arranged weeks ago behind the scenes, for the Everton manager to take over? Wouldn't surprise me.
lol, the Daily Mail. They're just speculating about Chelsea to make a newspaper headline, nothing concrete in that.

It's a pretty trustworthy reporter, though.
Anyway this isn't the first time Rooney has it in a request, he did it just 3 seasons ago too
