Guys I have been so mistaken in my recent posts and I am here to admit it.

I went to the Levis outlet today to pick up some jeans. I tried on 514s and they fit like poo poo! I was so shocked so I asked an employee what the deal was. He said that the Levis name is licensed out to department stores but the manufacturing isn't held to the same standard (this makes sense because a pair I bought at macys was made in a different country). I tried on some 511s and they fit magically.

So let it be known that when it comes to the official Levis jeans, 511s take a dump on 514s. Department store brands may vary.

I never knew that, I don't think it's common knowledge? I never was even told that when I worked at Sears but now I understand how department stores can have the everyday low price of $40 on Levis
