Last year for class I used a trusty mechanical pencil that looks like a regular yellow pencil, but I seem to have run out and don't have any more this quarter.  It was a solid pencil, but I feel that something about it was lacking.  As such, I think it may be time to upgrade. 

I have heard that the Cross Classic Century pencil is the second coming of Christ in pencil form, but I have yet to use it and am unsure if it truly is as amazing as it would seem.  Tomorrow I will be using some cheap wooden pencil, but I believe I should upgrade.  So I have come to you, trusted community, to get your opinion on this important issue.  Should I follow the hype and get a Cross Classic Century pencil?  Should I purchase another one of the workhorse mechanical pencils that look like yellow pencils?  Or perhaps there is some dark horse (WTF Cirus?) pencil that I haven't heard of yet?
