cirus how do you make your secret sauce???

i am actually just using some store-bought pasta sauce i had and some meatball recipe i saw on /R/EATCHEAPANDHEALTHY

1lb of ground beef 1lb of pork 3 eggs 1/4 cup Italian bread crumbs 1/4 cup parmesan cheese mix all ingredients very well, and form into balls. pan fry meatballs to char the outside just a little. cook meatballs in pasta sauce for at least an hour

That's a pretty good meatball base.

For sauce you can pretty much use a big can of crushed/chopped/whatever tomatoes, olive oil, basil, oregano, onion and garlic and then add some tomato paste if you want a thicker consistency.  Dried oregano is fine, but dried basil sucks

steev you need to go out and shoot an Elk

get it processed and have them make italian sausage link

then buy your favorite pasta sauce from the store

cut the italian sausage link into pieces maybe 2 or 3 inches long and put it into a slow cooker with the sauce

cook that poo poo and serve it up on a baguette

melt some provolone cheese on that poo poo and enjoy

way better than meatball subs

my balls are cooking, mostly holding together

NOTE: i actually used ground HOT SAUSAGE instead of just pork
