Alright, well today I had my painting class at 9AM. I got there, the professor gave her speech on what we would be doing that day and I started to get ready to paint. Well, in looking for some scrap paper to mix paint on I couldn't find any. I knew that were was always some old semester catalogs on the first floor so I leave class to get some. When I get there I see the whole thing had been cleaned out. Remembering that there is always random pamphlets in the other building I headed over there. Well, as I get closer to the pamphlet rack I can see there's this man laying there. Two people walk by and say that they 'Think he's resting.' Well, as a fireman it seems a bit odd to me that a 60~ year old is resting on the flood with his head in a pamphlet rack. Asking "Sir, are you ok, sir?" I hear nothing, "Sir?" I say again. Not a thing. I go in take his pulse and to check if he's breathing. No pulse and not a breath coming in or out. I tell the girl standing by that she better call 911 and the other guy ran up and got the campus police. Well in about 30 seconds he was back with a cop and the dean had followed along. It took me, the cop and the dean to lay the professor on his back to start CPR and the AED. A few minutes later the EMTs showed up and got to work on him. All while that's happening two other non-campus police are taking down stories of what happened and times. The police had actually come with a grief counselor in case someone needed support. About about 30 minutes of trying CPR and various other things they put him on a stretcher and took him to the hospital. Returning to class 40 minutes after going out to get paper and coming back paperless I rummage once more through stuff and find a newspaper just laying out in plain view that I had missed the first time amazingly. After a few minute chat with my painting professor she was willing to let me take the day off and say that I had painted, but I didn't accept the offer.

I would of never guessed that that's how my day would of started.

Edit: Also, he did not make it.

Just goes to show that you shouldn't just pass people who look like they're drunk or something. They might actually be in trouble!

Reminds me of the time everybody was laughing at a kid in the cafeteria because he was apparently dancing around like a moron for no apparent reason.

Turns out he was having a seizure.
