I don't think it will be better for Cave Story. But a lot of emulators run better on GP2X.  I might buy one.

Portable emulation? Seriously, the NES emu on the DS is great but once you go past that it is kind of lacking.

If I wanted emulation I would have fixed my PSP and used that.  What I need is a portable gaming platform of any kind, and the DS fills that niche just great.
