Yeah the lesson I learned from caucusing is the one Homer Simpson attempted to teach me when I was younger. The lesson is: never try.

Also from an outsiders perspective this seems like a bone-headed move.

Yep, so the apocalypse has come early for us.  Stock markets down worldwide, and the Pound reduced in value dramatically.  Being an import-heavy country this is pretty much a disaster, especially if the pound remains at this level and doesn't recover, or worse drops even more.  Our Prime Minister David Cameron has resigned, leaving the door open for Boris fetching Johnson this October; imagine that - a fool like him being in charge of the UK!  Holy poo poo.

It'll take us an estimated 2 years to actually exit from the EU, so until then technically we're still in.  But there's already rumours of falling house prices, Scotland getting a second independance referendum because they wanted to stay, Spain taking control of Gibraltar (they voted to remain with 97% in favour), a large increase in petrol prices, and chasms opening up with demons pouring out to murder us all.

Perhaps the worst part of it all is Donald Trump congratulating us for leaving.

lol.  Probably just kids wanting to know what the fuss is all about - hopefully...

The big question now is "will we be better off out of the EU?"  Well, we'll find out now, but not for several years at least.

Oh, and some people are predicting the complete breakup of the European Union now, as other countries see what we've done and decide to hold their own referendums and leave as well.  Sorry Europe!
