The background is gray how do you know that its scorching hot out? He is most likely in the land of BROTRR and is happily in the grey void. However i see no land in sight. Which i would have to come to the conclusion that he is attempting to drown himself.

He's clearly at or nearing the end of the swing, so either he'd have to fall into the water, or he'd have to hold on until he got back from where started, thus rendering the whole ordeal useless.
