The state of American politics

https://www.hillaryclinton.com/feed/donald-trump-pepe-the-frog-and-white-supremacists-an-explainer/

Heh

Hilary's recent illness seems quite worrying - I wouldn't be surprised if it puts a lot of people off from voting for her.  I mean, she's known to lie a lot in the past - is she hiding some major health problems?  Trump is already capitalizing on this by declaring he'll release his full medical records (unlike that stupid fake note he had previously).  Is it a serious blow for Hilary, or just all media hype?

If this election has taught me anything, it's that trying to predict things is useless

Using fear to get people to vote for your preferred candidate?  Vile.  But not a new trick unfortunately.

Is that a TV advert?  So, companies/organisations in the USA are allowed to promote gun use to the general public?  I suppose that makes sense, considering you can buy firearms in supermarkets.  I can't speak for everyone in the UK, but that ad is completely abhorrent, illegal in my country; unthinkable even.

It's just an example of how our two cultures differ massively when it comes to keeping the general public safe, in relation to allowing people certain personal freedoms which would affect the right to life for others.  Another example is smoking.  In the UK, companies aren't even allowed to promote or advertise cigarettes & tobacco.  They are sold behind closed shutters in shops, with no indication as to what is even behind the shutter.  You're not allowed to smoke in pubs, clubs or in fact any indoor or enclosed areas (because of passive smoking harming others).  You are however allowed to smoke in your own home and outside.  It's a fine balance between the freedom of choice and the rights of others.

Yes, that commercial played several times during a sportsball game I was watching last night.  Truth be told the tone is very common for political ads here, there's hardly any substance but rather it's about smearing your opponent and making them look worse.

It's also worth mentioning that Clinton would never propose something like banning all guns.  Like it or not it's a constitutional right here and it will never change.  These idiots still think Obama is trying to take their guns after 8 years of him being in office.

I can't wait for Obama's last day in office when he finally drives around the country with his massive gun magnet and scoops them all up out of our houses.
