Twitter is full of easily offended people and gamergate trolls and they just argue all day about stuff that doesn't matter like The Witcher 3 having too many naked chicks and too many white people!! You have to be careful who you follow there because you might get put on a blacklist!!

G+ has a lot of serious discussion about FOSS topics like Linux and BSD since a lot of the developers use it, but it also has a bunch of Google fanatics who bash anything non-Google all day which gets annoying!! The communities are OK, but subreddits are better

reddit is ok SOMETIMES. The Linux and BSD subreddits are pretty awful (grumpy old sysadmins and #archmasterrace people), but the Linux Gaming subreddit is great.

And yourewinner.com is just great all around

nobody likes facebook because everyone uses it wrong.  don't add family, mute all your stupid friends, and never post anything.  basically stop going to the site unless you have a major update, the only reason reasonable use case is to use it as a personal billboard to tell your friends what you're doing.
