But luckily a lot of commenters are defending the platform. Still some Nokia N9 fans around, who refuse to be #scroogled or #appled or #windowned !! Jolla may be the #freedomphone they've been waiting for.

Watching the promo video in that article, the touch interface looks extremely complicated.  I have no idea what all of these gestures do but they look imposing.

On the one hand, I'm glad someone is finally innovating with touchscreens, because lord knows the space is getting stale, but this UI looks like a grand experiment and that's not exactly a recipe for sales success, especially when a vast majority of the market is stupid lazy rich people.
