I used to hate certain carriers for blocking Google Wallet, but it is thanks to them that we now have a more open platform for mobile payments in Android 4.4. Google tried to monopolize the industry with their "secure element" chips, but thank God they didn't succeed! With new phones not having a secure element and Wallet not requiring it, now everyone is on fair ground! Competition is very good, and it will prevent Google from scroogling their customers.
