I don't know if I can trust Google anymore. My next phone will have to be a Blackberry.

Glad you're smart enough to see this,
@EJ
You know AOSP is a joke when it can't even boot to the homescreen on one of its flagship devices (Nexus 7 2013)!!

Now say good-bye to open-source Android Launcher, it's been replaced with the proprietary Google Search app in 4.4:
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/11/google-just-pulled-a-facebook-home-kitkats-primary-interface-is-google-search/
All the open layers of Android are fading away, and the amount of praise Google has been getting for it is disgusting!! Now we're stuck with this scroogle duopoly - Google and Apple. Nobody can compete with them, because they don't have the apps. They don't have the apps because they don't have the users. They don't have the users because the users are too dumb to realize they're getting scroogled!!! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!! WAKE UP AMERICA
