Ok here is a translation attempt. 

How long should we let ourselves be made fools of.  I believe that in Germany we grow strong freedom loving.  we have the benefit that we lost it in the second world war.  In the 60's and 80's there was a change that we became independent.  That we wouldnt let ourselves be tricked.  Thats why we didnt join the Americans in Iraq.  Thats why in Germany we cant overlook how first off Asange sits in the Embassy in London simply because he things revealed on Wikileaks that explained to us whats really going on.  And Snowden thats a whole new category a man that himself was a secret agent, who can longer have a clean conscience about his work.  And HE is being persecuted, we wont even grant him asylum. We say hes not being politically persecuted, of course he is.  There is an arrest warrant out for him in America.  If anyone is being politically persecuted, its Asange, its Snowden.  I'm currently ashamed of German Politicians that we don't for once show some balls and take in this Snowden and say of course we are thankful.  I mean we must be very thankful that he revealed that 500,000,000 per month are just illegally taken by the Americans.   But we dont even give him the chance to stay here. Instead we are delivering him to the Americans and these assholes want to put him in prison for 20-30 years.  Theyd do the same thing with Asange if they can get him out of the Embassy.  Its a giant scandal and I believe that a lot of people in Germany agree with me.  When Trittin said we need to take in Snowden that was a reason for me after 16 years to rejoin the Green party.  But maybe hes just saying that because hes not in power and cant really do it.  But then yesterday I heard the minister of the interior say that the USA is a constitutional democracy, well ok but thats not true they just verified that thats not true, and that they see us as an enemy, that they are eavesdropping on us.  The facts are on the table.  And then to say Snowden doesnt need asylum, no he does indeed, thats such a lie.  And then the SPD says the government is right when we dont take in Snowden, that means we are no different than the boot licking Americans.  This is a joke, I mean we are the leaders of Europe, or let me put it this way, at least we pay for everything.  Militarily we wont win any contests but Germany is still the leading power of Europe and it cant be that we let our democracy, thats better than the Americans', be destroyed.  And we cant just accept everything how they push it on us, aside from the brainwashing that we get every week through the movies.  We need to let them know there are consequences,  and to take in Snowden is simpler than for example to say get your troops out of here by next week.  I mean why do we still have American troops here what is that poo poo.  These are things that make you reconsider who are we I mean what is our position.  I think its time that Gemany in that sense should re-establish itself.  After America Japan and China we have the 4th largest economy.  We are the 3rd largest exporter in the world and we dont to sit here and hide, or play a servant role.  Maybe Merkel actually thinks this was all good.  Maybe she knew about it the whole time but now has to pretend likes shes outraged.  And if she didnt know, and if this is the real reaction, then it is really weak.  We dont need to be afraid that the Americans will attack us.  We are free and can tell them exactly what we think, we can say friends sadly this cant work this way anymore.  I even feel bad for Snowden he has to sit there in airports, country after country denies him asylum, he feels left alone.  And what did he do, he did us a huge favor.  The fact that only third world dictators will take him is messed up.  I almost think I need to right a book about how Al Quaida was right,  about how maybe the world trade centers was necessary to tell the Americans that they cant just do whatever they want.   I have to say Ive become extremely disenchanted with the type of politics around us the last few years.  We have elections again in the fall and what will happen a huge coalition again or the FDP continues in power with the CDU, but how ever it happens politics will just keep on the same way.

I still can't say for sure what Snowden is about. If the U.S. was making alien human hybrids, yeah I think it should be known. But nothing has come up in the media to really stick your teeth into besides -this guy did this!

People have opinions but I'd like a little more info. That translation amounts to a person grasping at straws, looking to advance some cause and trying to make this Snowden thing fit in a grand scheme of whatever.
