Windows 7 still  had you beat by quite a lot, but they had a head start.
Now you actually have a fair chance of beating them.

Also Chrome on ARM Linux smokes Chrome on Android!!
Scrolling performance isn't horrendous and I don't get mad input lag when typing in the quick reply box.
