Just saw the movie bounty killers. A post apocalyptic setting with no government. My favorite part was Mary Death driving her muscle car with her right foot, while her ass was on the door frame and her rifle in her hands.

PACIFIC RIM - Great action scenes with gigantic robots fighting Godzilla-like monsters.  The rivalry between 2 of the pilots is stupid and doesn't add anything to the story, just serves to slow it down.  The plot itself isn't great, the world leaders make a stupid decision roughly half-way through which makes you go "WTF?", but then again you don't watch this film for the story, or the terrible acting, but THE fetchING BIG ROBOTS FIGHTING fetchING BIG MONSTERS ACTION YEAH BABY.  I'm not a huge fan of CGI effects, but this movie does them very well.

5/10

THE HUNGER GAMES - OK this one was good.  Strong female lead and a good back-story bolsters the film.  Quite a reversal from Pacific Rim however, the CGI in this film is rubbish, not believeable at all.  There are a few surprises, but the story throughout is quite predictable.  Good acting makes it worth watching, with some brutal action scenes inbetween.  There are 3 sequels planned, and with part 2 out and already highly rated by critics, this is a must-watch series.

Riddick: Dark Fury (cartoon), 30 minutes run-time

Pretty disappointed.  It's supposed to join the movies Pitch Black & Chronicles Of Riddick, but it just feels like a "random encounter in space", and doesn't add anything to the overall story covering the films.  Riddick does his usual thing and kills a lot of enemies; the outcome is never in doubt because of knowledge of the next film, Riddick is never truely threatened and it feels like just another day in the life of the killer supreme-o.

Animation is OK, not up to par with today's standards, but watchable never-the-less.  Character's faces could have done with some extra love, but they are all fairly recognisable without having to be introduced first.
