One New Years me and a pal decided to get together at his place and watch the ball drop. But he was playing Animal Crossing at the time and heard about some awesome firework show that would play when the time came. So we played Animal Crossing and waited around the town center for the stuff to happen. It was such a let down. I think the mayor showed up and maybe two other villagers and I don't believe there were any more than two fireworks? That moment killed any interest in Animal Crossing for me.
