[These aren't in any particular order, because I am notoriously bad at picking favorites.]

1) The Simpsons: Tapped Out - Recommended for any Simpsons fan, this game allows you to build and maintain your very own virtual representation of Springfield.
2) Firefox - It supports Flash, unlike Chrome. Enough said. Why does Google have to shove their crappy port of Chrome onto Nexus users?
3) ASTRO File Manager - A free file manager that doesn't require root; I like to view pictures with it because I can sort them alphabetically, unlike with the stock Gallery app.
4) DANMAKU Death - A really neat but difficult "bullet hell shooter". It's definitely worth a spin!
5) Jetpack Joyride - A simple yet captivating arcade-style game that cranks up the insanity. It reminds me of something WayForward would make (if they developed phone or tablet games).
6) SketchBook Express - Surprisingly feature-filled for the price (nothing), this allows me to doodle stuff on the go.
7) Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. - In case you didn't know, I am a huge fan of Tamagotchi, so being able to take one wherever I go is awesome.
8) WiimoteController - Allows me to connect my Wii Remote as a Bluetooth keyboard, so I can play games with a proper controller.
9) TeamViewer - I can control my desktop directly from my Nexus 7!
10) Opera Mini - If I'm ever in a situation where my data is constricted, Opera Mini will be incredibly useful.

These are all very apps and are free to download!

i cannot use anything other than either swype (its ripoff swiftkey flow included) or the hardware keyboard in my phone

also apollo (android 4.1 music player) stopped working for no reason (just won't start at all, crashes) which made me kinda pissed until i discovered ES file explorer comes with a pretty WINNER music player built in

just tap-hold your entire music folder, scroll to "music" and play it, even has shuffle
