He is a bad fit but it's not his fault for taking the job, anyone would have badmouthed the rival so it's not like what he said years ago holds any weight. The fans are misplacing their frustration and abusing a guy who was never going to last beyond the season anyway.

Does Arsene Wenger badmouth his rivals? Did Roberto Di Matteo? Did Ancelotti? Did Kenny Daglish?

No

When reporters ask that stuff you are to say "I would prefer to speak about my team" rather than unloading on a rival team to ingratiate yourself to fans that already dislike you.

Not at all standard, not that I care about his previous comments - I realize managers and players are professionals and do not have to have some stupid club loyalty thing.

Rafa is notorious for his rants and criticism of other teams, the "It's a fact" interview is notorious for a reason - Because it was so fetching bizarre

I just think it is silly to blame him when Abramovich is the one who should be getting the blame.

Abramovich gets the blame for OK'ing the hiring of Rafa

Rafa must take responsibility, as all managers do, for woeful performances on the pitch even if it is as a result of his man management causing players to turn on him.

I think we are generally in agreement on this, because Roman deserves the brunt of the blame but Rafa does indeed need to be held responsible for the poor form.  My thoughts are just that he was never expected to last beyond this season anyway and the booing etc. is just totally unnecessary and unproductive.

#wow #whoa

Everyone is saying this is just a bunch of made up bullpoo poo. What can you expect from the Torygraph? Am I right Skrag?

Well if it is true, it can only mean good things for Arsenal.  Assuming it's some rich Oil Sheikh who wants a new play thing to throw money at of course.

But yeah the Torygraph sucks ass

I'll add my two cents with an image I took today of a mistake that just RUINED the game because I couldn't look away after that:
