There are apps I guess so you can update it as soon as you accomplish something

Fitocracy does this well but only because it's so focused on exercising and has a great environment with stats and stuff

It'd be neat if you could choose a character class.  If you weren't particularly interested in traditional "self-improvement", for example, you could take a rogue class like "frat boy" that levels you up for drinking without puking or having consensual sex.
