yeah, with that much horizontal real estate you need to cram in as many buttons as possible

just cram those buttons into that laptop as hard as you can

spread it nice and wide, so you can shove more keys inside

So, I guess they were going for THAT kind of experience. I only wish the laptop had a 4700x2000 display that took up 3x the current size.

I never actually use the number pad and I never will, mostly because there are already numbers across the top

Learn to use the number pad, it is SO MUCH BETTER than the row

but i can conveniently reach all the numbers on the row from the position I have my hands in for typing letters why move them if i dont have to. 

there are times when i use the number row, there are times when i use the numpad

using my laptop without a numpad isn't impossible but it sure throws me off sometimes

The numpad is faster than the anything you can do on the row and I know this for a fact. I did an entire summer of data entry which was basically just typing numbers for 8 hours every day.

numpad does rule, but you dont NEED it for a laptop.
