my cousin got a ferret once and her mom kept bringing it to family parties.  whenever you touched it you had to wash your hands because it left behind this horrible odor and we had to keep running around putting towels under doors and pulling it out of crevices because its natural instinct is to burrow into things

one of my friends had a ferret, i never saw the appeal

is it still illegal to have a ferret as a pet in California, by the way? i think they're still restricted in cities like DC and NYC and were banned outright in a number of states but i think California might still have that one on the books
