If you just want to use XBMC you can use your TV remote (if your TV supports CEC) or an Android device with Yatse remote

I'm going to keep asking you questions because these sites are hard to navigate.  I went to /r/buildapc to see if there were any recent HTPC builds and people just recommended an rpi so my decision is MADE.

What do you use for a power supply?

My TV has a USB port on the side so I use that.
It's nice because when I turn off my TV it turns off the R-Pi too (The Pi has no on/off switch, you just unplug it)

I hear not all TVs provide enough power through the USB port, though.

They recommend a microusb charger capable of at least 750mA. The Nexus 7 charger is 2 amps, so that should work fine.
