I just can't get a straight answer on this- ever since the government required all of the TV broadcasters switch to a different frequency spectrum and digital broadcasting protocols, everybody had to go out and buy these set-top boxes and digital TVs. This scares the shit out of me, because digital technology is capable of transmitting data. There may very well be transmitters in these devices that send data to the TV station, so whenever I turn on Family Guy, I'm adding a point to their view counter. I don't want people to know what I watch or when I watch it, and if I'm right, these devices are a clear invasion of privacy.
