Gay makes about $7m more than he should, at least. He is bad on offense, while Prince has a much more reasonable contract. Davis will quickly end up being the most best player in this deal. Grizzlies gave up an overrated, overpaid player while gaining much more salary flexibility and not downgrading on talent.
