Ever since it switched to 2.0 VLC won't play poo poo.  I'm using MPC for now. What's da best

I use MPC for everything.  It has trouble with large-resolution mpegs once in a while but 99% of the time it works great

also make sure you have all the right codecs

VLC has always sucked. Now that people are beginning to understand with the 2.0 update I think that means it must finally be good again. Everyone is retarted but me.

mplayer is really good, but the default GUI sucks.

umplayer or smplayer have better GUIs

damn ur right vlc does suk

i was trying to play a 1080p video with gpu acceleration, but it was slow as unicorn

compiled mplayer with vaapi support and now my laptop can smoothly play 1080p
