Im not on the Lin bandwagon like everyone else is

He turns it over so much (he has the most turnovers by a player in his first 6 games in NBA history), and during the 6 game win streak, the only decent team they've beaten is the Lakers. Let's see how he does next week against actual good times like Dallas, Atlanta, and Miami.

if all he does is take the ball up the court and spread the ball so its not the melo isolation show its a huge positive for that team.

Poor Wizards fans
I'm from washington, but there's a reason I don't root for the Wizards.
Stuff like this is one of them.

He's not as good as ESPN is making him sound, but he's not as bad as you're implying either.  D'antoni's offense inflates the stats of PGs (he's had a ridiculous usage rate since starting, I believe it's 2nd only to Lebron) but considering the rest of the team consists of garbage scrubs, he has done really, really well in his first few starts.  Over 50% shooting, decent FT shooting and getting to the line a lot, and still something like 9 APG.  Even though he is averaging 6.5 TOPG he has had to carry the entire team.  It will be interesting to see what happens once the biggest offensive black hole in the NBA comes back though, and I think he will go to something like 15/7 per game since he seems to really benefit from this system.

Also, he had some BALLS on that 3 last night.  Totally wrecked Calderon.

At least McGee can be a total beast when his head is in the game.  If that ever happens it will be amazing, though.

I don't think he is a terrible point guard, I do think he's somewhere inbetween. But like you said, ESPN is just totally overrating him already (just like Tebow). He's already being mentioned with PGs like Rose, Paul, and Williams, which is totally ridiculous. Once Carmelo comes back, his PPG will go down and he'll most likely be an average to slightly above average PG for the rest of the season.

Yeah like I said I think he fits well into D'antoni's system and he will be an above average PG.  He is on a hell of a run now though, and it's fun to see.
