How long ago did you stop playing?

I played mostly during from the early betas with non infinite worlds to like 0.6. I tried 0.8 and 1.0 but lost interest. I also tried to get back into it like 4 or 5 months ago.

The update in August (1.3.x) was pretty cool, and it has certainly improved since the beta.  It would be silly to expect something totally different but I think it's still pretty interesting, especially with cool people also playing.  The game never fetching ends, so you can keep playing it. Like Shock said, it's fun to play with a friend on the phone to see how you both are doing and see what you can do different next playthrough.

That map is pretty huge. I think I'll give minecraft another go, I never really played multiplayer all that much so that will be pretty new to me anyway. Do you guys all try to join at certain times or do you just randomly go in and build poo poo?

We used to try to get several people on at once but since my desktop is dead I can't organize it anymore.  Once the server updates, I imagine we'll have more activity again.
