We could experiment with a "mood lighting" scheme.  Let's say for example that we carved out the bottom row of blocks on each wall 2 blocks in, then installed flaming Netherrack behind them.  Something like:


It would look cool and provide sufficient light to keep baddies off the tracks.  If we wanted it to be dimmer we could just move the fire further from the tracks.  It woulod take some doing but it's not like we have lives and aspirations and poo poo.

Also, you can now make writable books.  I have written WINNERVille's first book: "The Song Of Samuel".  Books can be multiple pages, I have no idea what the top end is on number of pages but you can actually write a bunch of stuff in there.  I can see how creating adventure-style scenarios will be far easier now.

Bad news: the book is now an item that is carried, you can't really place it anywhere for public viewing.  I suppose we could put a chest in the library but that means people would be on the honor system not to steal or destroy the books.

I also fixed the lights in the Town Square <---> Stellar Station tunnel.  The new switcher is pretty cool EJ, my only complaint is the trip into Stellar Station is a bit clumsy since you replaced the torches on the immediately inbound power rails with button rails that only face outbound, and the rails are still in a part of the tunnel that's kind of low causing some head-bumping..

I will keep an eye out for plugins to make books useful

the reason for the detector rails instead of torches is that the cart won't stop at the station if it's going too fast, so having detector rails means it speeds up outbound trains but slows inbound ones sufficiently.

It's been my experience that minecarts stop dead when they hit an unpowered power rail, regardless of speed.  Your gimmicked rail should be sufficient for stopping minecarts in theory.

Ender Chest inventories on MP servers are per player only.  Not sure if all users can use the same Ender Chest or not.  If any user can use any Ender Chest to access their own Ender Chest inventory, then that's awesome and I have an Eye Of Ender I can give you.
