A: Wow, great question.  I actually had to look that poo poo up.  The easiest way for me to remember is that the porn store was so boring that I learned how to make crossword puzzles while I worked there, and those puzzles got published by the Buffalo Beast (http://www.buffalobeast.com/)  It turns out that those puzzles debuted in the summer of 2006, and I started working there in January of the same year, so that puts the time between January 2006 and June 2007, approximately.

A: There's one word I ended up using in 80% of my crossword puzzles, not because I particularly wanted to, but because it'd get down to the end of the puzzle and it's the only word that would fit.  It's a 4-letter word with 3 vowels in it, and those vowels occur commonly in lots of other words.  You may have noticed this word in many other crossword puzzles as well, even inferior ones that aren't full of sex jokes and pop culture stuff. 

That word... is OLEO.  It's a word nobody uses that means "butter".
