Not all text books are created equal. Correspondence courses may use a different text book for the same course. You might want to look into the used book store on campus.

fast food dollar menus will be your best friend

Okay first night, day was pretty busy. Lots of nice people, no one really stood out as incredibly cool though but people who become my bffs I generally hate the first time I meet them so who knows. I wonder how many of these people will still be here in 2 months when school has actually been going a bit.

Also thanks for the sincere posts, it's rare that communities like this can come together without trying to outdo each other on the most outrageous posts. It's really nice.

Buy lots of rice, ramen, canned beans, canned chicken/tuna (if you can stomach it), fruit, veggies
eat cheap eat healthy
If you have a meal plan make yourself skip desserts, snacks, soda and again eat healthy. Freshmen fifteen is not a myth and the last thing you want is to carry around an additional 15  avoidable pounds
