Week 1 of the EPL started today with the scores being:

QPR looking like they will be in for a very tough season after losing to a low-mid table team by 4 goals at home.  Liverpool being incredibly disappointing again, and Sunderland looking decent (as a Sunderland fan I am okay with that).  Fulham disappointing in their home opener, Wigan and Norwich will probably fight to stay in the top tier and Arsenal might be knocked out of the top 5 -- Man U/City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham could realistically pass them this season.

The rest of Week 1:

I think Man U has to be the favorite again.  As a Sunderland fan I am hoping they can compete for a top-8 spot.  They have some huge signings and a lot of potential but they always seem to have at least one terrible stretch during the season where they give up a ridiculous number of late goals and draw/lose matches for months at a time.

Sigh it's tough being a Sunderland fan.  After they draw at Anfield last week they lose the derby at HOME while looking absolutely pathetic the entire time.  I wish Steve Bruce would get sacked already, hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later.

Arsenal looks like ass this season, no Fabregas and no Nasri looks like they really will have a huge mountain to climb if they want to get a top 4 (maybe even top 5) finish.  Might be time for Wegner to go as well, he's lost his touch I think.  Too bad for the Gunners, but more parity in the league is always nice.

QPR with a nice bounce back from that first week thrashing, Everton is probably in for another long season of mediocrity and very little worthwhile news.  Sucks to be Tim Howard.

Swansea and Wigan draw 0-0, zzzzz let's see if one of them can stay in the Prem this season.

Chelsea was down 0-1 after the half in London but unfortunately came back to win anyway.  Chelsea looks bad and just lazy overall, the midfield has nothing going on and Drogba is looking slow and old.  At least Torres did something postive today with his passing.

Expected for a long time now but it's probably a pretty good deal for Spurs.  It's not Adebayor's fault that he couldn't get time with Tevez, Aguero and Dzeko.  He's a headcase but Tottenham seems like a good spot.  Also agree with Balotelli being a bitch mentioned above.
