actually web browsers don't determine the file type from the file extension, .they determinite from the file's header (aka the first few bytes of a file)

That's my point. It will allow an image with a .png extension to be animated in all web browsers. Animated PNGs, no plugins required. But you're a stupid piece of poo poo so you didn't even realize that. 32-bit color in animated images? What a waste of precious processing power.
