How does our  run on the portable gaben?

Probably pretty well

has anyone tried running BROTRR on linux with wine?  It might work, but more likely I think you'd have to install windows on the deck

I'm a bit upset that gaben miss an opportunity to offer a true killer app nativey to his handheld.

Ignore the trump shooter, wine handles these games better than modern Windows does.

Use dxvk 2.4 or higher since it supports Direct3D 8 to Vulkan translation
Also turn on wine virtual desktop

Steam Deck runs it perfectly at 1000 fps with 0 bugs

Nice one thanks brotrr and welcome. I have a steam deck now but havent tried running big rigs on it yet, ill try get it running with your steps soon when I needs a portable fix of big rigs.

BROTRR on windows on steam deck won't work because the steam deck uses a portrait display rotated 90 degrees and windows is too dumb to handle this configuration properly

You can see it here on the legion go which uses a similar portrait-based display like the steam deck. All older windows games just crash... So awkward!
