Gotta start learning C/C++ so I am going to dual boot my craptop, but I only want Steev-approved distros

Well, I'm running Slackware and Arch Linux on all of my PCs, but they are aimed at competent Linux users and I couldn't recommend them for a beginner.

So I'm just gonna recommend Ubuntu

My second choice is Linux for upstanding African-American member of societys

The BEST programming editor for Linux is GEANY get it from Ubuntu software center.
