I think the N7 is better. The Fire HD 8.9 is a nice piece of hardware and may be fine for people who like to consume only Amazon content, but not for me

I bought my first Android device last year, it was a Coby Kyros MID7024 China tablet and it was love at first sight.
I was so excited to see a Linux-based platform dominating the smartphone market (I've been Linux user since 2007), but I could not afford a cell phone at the time so the China tablets were right for me.

I was also interested in HP web OS (which is much more Linuxy than Android), but it was clear that it was a dead platform. RIP

I remember when HP bought webos and was going to turn it into the most productive OS EVER
