For some reason unknown to me I've started to look at tablets. The Nexus 7 seems to be the best one out in my price range if I were to buy one.

Hey, if you're super-quick you can get an OG Nexus 7 8GB for $66 (plus shipping). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nexus-7-8GB-Wi-Fi-7in-Black-/251312000799?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item3a835ccf1f

Alternatively if you're a bit too slow but still pretty speedy you can also get it for $70 (plus shipping). http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPER-NICE-Nexus-7-8GB-Jelly-Bean-4-3-free-shipping-/181185254223?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item2a2f7b934f

And if you're even slower or want more space you can get an OG Nexus 7 16GB for $75 (plus shipping). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nexus-7-16GB-Wi-Fi-7in-Black-2012-edition-/330969527725?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item4d0f5235ad

At these prices you might as well take it.

@EJ, the 1st gen is still a good device today.
The 2nd gen looks like a good upgrade, but at those prices I'd be very tempted to get the 1st gen.

If you have to ask why, you probably shouldn't be buying a tablet.

Here's my top 10 uses for Nexus 7:

1) Practice Android app development.
Nexus 7 is a great device for this. It is much cheaper than comparable Android phones and it runs the latest OS so you have access to all the new APIs!!!
2) REDDIT MACHINE.
Nexus 7 is the best way to experience reddit!!!
3) Portable phone charger
Nexus 7 has a big-azz battery, with an OTG cable you can use it to charge your other devices in EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
I even use my Nexus 7 to power my Raspberry Pi when I go camping!!
4) Portable media player
5) Portable retro gaming console w/ RetroArch
NES, SNES, GENESIS, SEGA CD, 32X, CAVE STORY, DOOM 1 & 2, QUAKE 1, PSX, GAMEBOY, GBA, MAME, FBA, AND MANY, MANY MORE
6) Portable ebook reader
nerd
7) Remote control for RPi media center or Chromecast device
8) Porn
9) ???
10) ???
