ARGH. This is going to go on and on for ages, it's just one opinion against another. I can't be arsed to pointlessly argue the toss over a stupid computer game.

In supcom, each faction has many unique units only available to that one faction. It means that they all play differently. There are a huge number of subtle differences - many of which are hardly subtle at all: look at the experimental units for instance.
UEF - defensive, turtling style, long range firepower: Mavor, Fatboy, T3 point defence, engineering stations, percivals...
Cybran - aggressive, stealth, poor base defence: Monkey lords, T1 gunships...
I could go on and on, there are so many units and another 2 factions, but i've got to go to work LOL
The fact that other unit types are available to all factions (tactical missile launchers, basic ground units) solves game balancing issues that many other RTS games have with multiplayer. Supcom fails in single player because the AI is too dumb to take advantage of a faction's strengths, thus the same strategy beats it every time.
Games like starcraft can become boring to play because the same tactics are used every time you play a specific faction.

Thats a common misconception. In some ways the races/factions do appear to look the same, but they play very differently from a tactical perspective.
No dude, they're exactly the same. I've tried all of them. Don't give me some bullpoo poo about tactical perspective or whatever because they're all exactly the same
