I signed up to write Sergey Titov's appearance in this forum for the Book of Rigism.  I saw that the posts were from 2008 and he said he appeared every 100 years.  So I did a search for any autmobile-related events/people in 1908 and found this:

It was the first and only around-the-world automobile race ever held.

(AROUND THE WORLD RACING????)

Also, in September 1908, almost exactly 100 years from the 2008 postings, the first Model-T was developed, leading to a revolution in automobile azzembly and the eventual creation of Big Rigs:

I believe these were his previous apparitions, either in part or in full.  If this is correct, then he MAY HAVE previously gone by the pseudonym "Thomas Flyer" and/or "Henry Ford," or some completely unmentioned person (highlight how humble he is).  These events heralded the technological and cultural leaps of the rest of the 20th century, much like Big Rigs has done for the 21st.
