Pirates signed Erik Bedard for 1 yr/$4.5m.  Good deal imo, he should be good in the NL if he can stay healthy and it's a cheap contract

Also it's a terrible move by the Angels, who signs a 32 year old that's gonna be past his prime in 2-3 years to a 10 year, $254 mill contract?

If you think Pujols is going to decline in 2-3 years you are insane.  And why would he stay with the Cards?  The Angels paid him what he's worth, the Cards didn't even want him to be the highest paid 1B in the game.  10 years is too long but he will be insane for many years to come, and they can just put him at DH in the future.

Also the signing of Wilson was great.
